Bible Bill in GA Senate
A group of Democrat Georgia Senators this past week introduced a bill to create an elective high school class to teach the Bible.
The Language of the bill states that it would be a state funded academic course covering the Bible's influence on art, literature and music.
Republicans in the Georgia Senate are completely opposed to it...they feel the democrats are pandering...Are they? I always thought the Republican voter base was composed of conservative religious voters. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
Would the Bible be a good source to teach kids about philosophy, morals and literature? Do you feel differently, should the Bible have no place in the Public school even as a source for literature?
Feel free to post with your opinion.
